Or perhaps you want the opportunity to improve your understanding of various health topics to apply to your personal wellness journey? SC AHEC has a number of programs designed to inspire Alaskan youth to expand their concept of what constitutes health, and ultimately to pursue careers in all sectors of this burgeoning industry. From week-long camps that provide an in-depth focus of either behavioral or allied healthcare, to enrollment in our federally-funded WIOA program that supports formal training, to immersion experiences revealing the realities of healthcare in rural Alaska, SC AHEC has many resources to help those aged 16-21 explore, initiate and attain a health career.
