The month started with our annual Alaska Primary Care Association Winter Summit, which featured a Workforce track developed and delivered by WFD Department also known as the SC AHEC. We delivered a Board/CEO Leadership training, ACES Training, QPR Training, Conflict resolution using Virtual Simulation, an Apprenticeship update, and more!

We celebrated National Apprenticeship Week November 8-14 by highlighting Apprenticeship completers at APCA’s Awards Ceremony on 11/5/2020. We also co-presented with the State of Alaska in a statewide National Apprenticeship Week Apprenticeship Celebration and overview on 11/10/2020.

We concluded our Integrated English Training (IET) PATH Academy, graduating 11 English language learners. 9 of these students successfully gained employment at the conclusion of the training, and 1 went on to a CNA training program. We are so proud of each of these students.

We kicked off our Allied Health Camp for Dillingham area high school students. Students will earn 2 college credits and a variety of industry recognized certifications.

We completed a PATH Academy for Cook Inlet Tribal Council’s Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) program.

In the month that celebrates Thanksgiving, our program is greatly thankful to our program partners, funders, students, Community Health Centers, Hospitals, other providers, and educators.
